At least 10 people have been injured in a shooting at a lakeside party in Oklahoma, local officials say.
The shooting took place near Arcadia Lake in eastern Edmond, about 13 miles north of Oklahoma City, at a gathering of young people around 21:00 local time on Sunday, Edmond police spokesperson Emily Ward said.
Ward said 10 people were taken to hospital in "various conditions" and others drove themselves. No arrests have been made, but police do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.
"This is obviously a very terrifying situation and we understand the concern from the public and those involved and we are working extremely hard to find the suspects," she said.
Edmond police said on X that the total number of victims is expected to change.
A hospital system spokesperson said nine people were at Integris Health Baptist Medical Center, in Oklahoma City, and three others were at Integris Health Edmond Hospital, the BBC's US partner, CBS News, reported.
The spokesperson said the patients were still being assessed late Sunday night.
Arcadia Lake is an artificial reservoir that is also popular for fishing, picnics and camping.
Police did not provide details about the party, but US media report that a flyer seen on social media detailed an event called Sunday Funday, which was scheduled to take place near the lake on Sunday evening.
Police have set up a reunification centre for families at a nearby Walmart, according to local media.
