Former undisputed light-welterweight champion Chantelle Cameron has signed with Frank Warren's Queensberry Promotions.

After splitting with trainer Jamie Moore in February, 32-year-old Cameron was released by Matchroom Boxing earlier this week.

Cameron has won 18 professional fights. She was defeated by Katie Taylor in Dublin in November, having beaten the Irishwoman on points in their first meeting in May.

The Northampton fighter was unveiled as Queensberry's new signing, alongside Aadam Hamed - son of former world champion Prince Naseem Hamed.

Light-welterweight Hamed Jr made his professional debut in August, stopping Vojtech Hrdy in the first round in Poland on the undercard of Oleksandr Usyk v Daniel Dubois.

Cameron unified the division against American Jessica McCaskill in 2022, becoming the first boxer from England to hold all four recognised world titles.

Her breakout night, however, came when she inflicted a first career defeat on pound-for-pound star Taylor last year.

A trilogy bout was in the works for this summer but Taylor instead opted for a rematch with Puerto Rico's Amanda Serrano.

Eleven months ago, Cameron was one of the hottest properties in boxing as she brilliantly upset the odds to defeat Taylor.

It was a career-defining win, but also one that fired Cameron into the main consciousness of the boxing world.

But it has been a frustrating period since for the history maker since losing to Taylor in their rematch.

She has now completely gutted her team, from trainer to promoter.

Queensberry does not have the same track record of promoting female talent as Matchroom, with only four women on its books including Raven Chapman and Hannah Rankin.

But Frank Warren's outfit has experienced an incredible boom in the last 12 months, being at the centre of the biggest fights in Saudi Arabia including this summer's undisputed heavyweight fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.

While Saudi Arabia are yet to show an appetite to include the biggest female names in their controversial spending spree, Queensberry's renewed working relationship with Matchroom will be a plus for Cameron.

With Queensberry, she could continue to push for the Taylor trilogy fight, who fights under Matchroom, or pursue a fight against the likes of welterweight champion Sandy Ryan, who is also signed to Eddie Hearn.

Cameron also immediately becomes one of their elite fighters alongside Fury, and after suggesting she was not a priority for Matchroom, and that may be what she craves.
