Izzy Escobar says being asked to create a song for the Devil Wears Prada 2 soundtrack was incredible
Strike a pose! Devil Wears Prada 2 is out in cinemas, reuniting the film's original cast 20 years on.
But something that has people talking almost as much as the return of Miranda Priestly's abrupt one-liners is the film's female-led soundtrack.
Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa and Olivia Dean - to name just a few - all feature on the album, alongside up-and-coming artists like Izzy Escobar.
"This is my first time ever having a song in a major film," the American singer tells BBC Newsbeat.
Escobar wrote and performed Evergreen Avenue for the soundtrack to "one of my favourite movies".
"I'm still trying to wrap my head around it," she says.
She says it was a "pinch me" moment seeing her name next to the likes of Lady Gaga - something she says feels like a sign she should "keep persevering".

Escobar specifically wrote Evergreen Avenue after the film's director, David Frankel, got in touch.
But while it was the first time her music has appeared in a film, she says the writing process wasn't too different to how she normally works.
"I'm a very visual writer in the way that I story tell," she says.
"I close my eyes when I sit down on my keys and make up a movie in my own mind."
Escobar says Frankel asked her to work on the film after hearing her 2025 song, Sunny in London.
"He really loved the sonic palette of the song and wanted me to write something that was in a similar vein," she says.
"I did my research and then started to kind of brainstorm what those ideas could be and how I could integrate my own musicality into the pre-existing world of Devil Wears Prada."
Without giving away any spoilers, Evergreen Avenue plays towards the end of the film in an "emotional scene".
"I don't want to give too much away, but I'm on the radio in Anne Hathaway's [character's] house, which is pretty cool," Escobar says.
The film's world premiere in New York recently was the first time Escobar experienced her song in the movie.
"To finally see it visualised on-screen with some of my favourite artists in the room, it was the best feeling in the world," she says.

Escobar says the original 2006 film means a lot to her because she enjoyed expressing herself through music and fashion as a child.
"When I saw Devil Wears Prada, I just remember thinking like, 'oh my gosh, this is [another] way of expressing yourself, like music'," she tells Newsbeat.
And the singer thinks the film shows how the music industry can impact the fashion world, and vice versa.
"I think we're seeing it right now with Lady Gaga and Doechii's song Runway.
"I love the video that they did incorporating all the different types of fashion and expressing themselves but also at the same time, singing a song that highlights feeling confident and empowered."
So with a host of big games joining Escobar on the soundtrack, what can fans expect from it?
"It's going to make you dance and feel very, very empowered and inspired and excited."
The Devils Wears Prada 2 is out in UK cinemas from Friday.
