Diego Costa is part of a long list of players who have had to wear protective face masks while featuring for Chelsea - include Pedro, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Petr Cech, Cesar Azpilicueta, Gary Cahill and Nemanja Matic.

Costa wore his protective face mask against Southampton in the Premier League in 2016.

He broke his nose in a collision with team-mate Fikayo Tomori, now at AC Milan, in a training session.
