Hibernian beat Glasgow City on penalties to reach the Women's Scottish Cup quarter-finals.

Hibs, who have won the tournament eight times, pegged back nine-time winners City for a 1-1 draw over 90 minutes before prevailing 5-4 in the shootout.

Livingston also won 5-4 on penalties against Gartcairn following a 2-2 draw.

Spartans narrowly beat SWPL rivals Aberdeen 2-1, Hearts defeated hosts East Fife 10-0 and Montrose also won big, 5-0 against Stirling University.

SWPL leaders Rangers host Dundee United, Queen's Park visit Partick Thistle and Scottish Cup holders Celtic are at Hamilton Academical later.

In the match that pitted nine-time winners City against eight-time champions Hibs, Lauren Davidson's low drive gave Glasgow the lead but Leah Eddie's powerful finish restored parity before half-time.

With no further scoring in regulation or extra time, penalties ensued and Mairead Fulton's miss was cancelled out by Shannon McGregor's for Hibs. Jo Love knocked her effort against the crossbar and Joelle Murray converted to send Hibs through.

Fern Newbigging levelled late in the 90 to cancel out Ashley Elizabeth's first-half opener for Livi. Megan Wands scored Gartcairn's second only for Livi Begg to bring the hosts level again.

In the shootout, Schenai Gamrot saved Caitlin Moran's kick for Gartcairn but Livingston's Raewyn Murphy was also denied by Jasmine McPhie. It went down to the 10th penalty and Gamrot's save to keep out Newbigging sealed progress for Livi.

Robyn McCafferty put Spartans in front but Darcie Miller levelled. With time running out, Beccy Galbraith won it for Spartans.

Olufolasade Adamolekun scored a hat-trick and Erin Rennie netted twice in Hearts' win, with Emma Brownlie, Danni Findlay, Ciara Grant, Addie Handley and Kate Mooney also on target.

Demi Taylor, twice, and Jade McLaren, Tammy Harkin and Holly Daniel were Montrose's scorers.
