Nigel Farage claims Reform UK 'forced' bin strike news

Reform UK's leader Nigel Farage told BBC Radio WM's Ed James he believed his party had forced Birmingham City Council's ruling Labour group to release a statement saying there was a prospective end to Birmingham's bin strike saga.

The council's Labour leader John Cotton said on Monday an end to the action was "within sight", with a new offer to be put to striking workers.

Farage said it was "without a shadow of a doubt" down to his party pressurising Labour.

"They're terrified of us," he added.

Councillor Cotton said the potential deal from the Labour ruling group was "good for the workforce" and claimed it represented good value for money.
