Happy New Year!
It certainly has been a good start to the year for Liverpool as Mohamed Salah's double helped them to record a 4-2 win at home to Newcastle last night.
That victory extends their unbeaten run in the league to 13 matches and puts them three points clear of second-placed Aston Villa in the Premier League.
They are also five points clear of defending champions Manchester City, who sit third, but City have a game in hand.
Can Liverpool maintain their fine form throughout the second half of the season?
We've got all the reaction from that game as well as build-up to tonight's Premier League clash between West Ham and Brighton at London Stadium.
There's also a busy day ahead in the Scottish Premiership with no fewer than six games scheduled.
And, of course, it's day two of the January transfer window so we'll keep you across the latest gossip and bring you all the deals as they are confirmed.
