Severn Stars continued their perfect start to the Netball Super League season with victory over Team Bath.

Severn were up 37-22 against the five-time champions at half-time and they extended their lead to 72-44 for their third win in three matches.

South Africa's Sigi Burger was the visitors' top scorer with 46 goals and just two missed shots.

"We won every quarter. We're 12 from 12 which is something I am really proud of," said Severn head coach Jo Tripp.

"It feels really well deserved. These girls are working their socks off week in, week out and I am really proud they are being rewarded with scorelines like this."

Team Bath head coach Asha Francis said: "The key thing for us is when we are going to go down by a certain amount of goals then we can't just let it unravel.

"It's a shame we couldn't put on a performance tonight for them [crowd]."

The four remaining third-round fixtures will be played on Saturday, starting with Leeds Rhinos hosting Cardiff Dragons in Sheffield.
