Pitch inspections have been arranged at Livingston, Greenock Morton and Stirling Albion as freezing temperatures threaten Saturday's SPFL programme.

A "precautionary pitch inspection" will be held at Livi's Tony Macaroni Arena at 09:00 GMT on Saturday before the Premiership visit of Ross County.

Inspections will be held at 16:00 on Friday before games in the Championship and League 1 with temperatures as low as -5C expected overnight in some parts of Scotland.

Greenock Morton's home match against Championship leaders Dundee United and Montrose's visit to Stirling Albion in the third tier are also under threat.

Some sleet and snow is also possible overnight, with temperatures not expected to rise much above freezing on Saturday before three top-flight games and 15 in the lower leagues kicking off at 15:00.

Livingston said on X that the SPFL had requested the Saturday morning inspection of their artificial surface.
